Come to the Table

The Table is a Place to Know and Be Known.

At St. Andrew’s, we’re always thinking of ways to reimagine the neighborhood church, and this August 18th, we’re doing just that by launching three new worship service times, KiDS Church, and a new Grow Hour with the start of a four-week Sermon Series.

The Table is a place to know and be known. We hope you’ll join us.

Three services, one message.

9:00am – Our morning contemporary service features current worship music flanking the sermon. While all children are welcome to join their parents for worship, childcare is provided for nursery-aged children, and there is a Kindergarten class in Room 15. KiDS Church is available for children in 1st through 5th grade.

11:00am – Our traditional service is more liturgically structured than our contemporary services. The musical selections are traditional hymns; our adult choir also performs during the service. As with the 9:00am contemporary service, childcare is provided for nursery-aged children, and there is a Kindergarten class in Room 15. KiDS Church is available for children in 1stthrough 5thgrade.

6:00pm – Our evening contemporary service is very similarly structured to our 9:00am contemporary service, but childcare is only available for nursery-aged children.

All services are held in the main sanctuary.

Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month during every service.

KiDS Church is a place where children in the 1st through 5th grades come together to become more aware of their true identity in Jesus and what it means to be a child of God. KiDS Church will begin with energized worship, prayer and an engaging lesson; breaking away into grade level tents where they dive deeper with discussion and are able to walk away with a day to day application of the Bible.

Parents can drop off and check-in their child/ren in the front of the Fellowship Hall through the glass doors facing Robinhood Place on Sunday mornings. All children will have a printed nametag. Parents can pick up their child/ren immediately following the church service in their grade level tent in the Fellowship Hall.

KiDS Church will be offered during both the 9:00am and 11:00am Sunday morning services. There will be no KiDS church for the 6:00pm Sunday evening service as we encourage and support children attending service with their parents.

Kindergarteners will meet in Room 15 for a hands-on Bible lesson during both the 9:00am and 11:00am morning services and will attend service with their parents during the 6:00pm Sunday evening service.

The Grow Hour is an opportunity for members and visitors to grow in their faith with one another and share in fellowship from 10:00-10:50am, between the two Sunday morning services.

Adults – Adults of all ages are encouraged to join an existing class, start a new class or small group, or share in fellowship in the gym. More information about class offerings is forthcoming. Interested in starting a new class? Contact Troy Dunn at tdunn@saumc.com.

Youth – Youth in 6th through 12th grade are invited to participate in small groups. Small groups are separated based on age group (high school and middle school) and gender, and the lessons are taught by members of our congregation. Interested in teaching a youth small group? Contact Maggie Chick at mchick@saumc.com.

Kids – Children will gather in separate age-appropriate classrooms to dive deeper into a Bible Study lesson led by adult leaders. Groups are also split by gender. Interested in joining our KiDS Grow Hour Team? Contact Natalie Gillespie at ngillespie@saumc.com.

Class locations for all Grow Hour groups are forthcoming.

Starting on August 18th, there will be a four-week long sermon series explaining the Come to the Table movement, and what that looks like for our congregation. Please stay tuned for further details!
